Tracking Setup in Affyi

The Tracking Setup feature in Affyi allows you to configure how affiliate conversions are tracked and how you want to handle cookies and landing pages. Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Tracking Method

  • Choose your preferred Tracking Method from the dropdown list. Options may include:

    • Postback: Allows seamless tracking through a server-to-server communication.

2. Default Cookie Time

  • Enter the number of days the cookie should remain valid. For example, if set to 45, the cookie will track affiliate actions for 45 days after a user clicks an affiliate link.

3. Default Landing Page

  • Specify the Default Landing Page where users will be directed. This URL will be used if no specific landing page is set in your offers.

After configuring these settings, click Save to ensure your preferences are applied.

Managing Marketing Channels

In this section, you can add and track different marketing channels such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and others. This helps you monitor traffic sources and link them to specific campaigns.

Steps to Set Up Marketing Channels:

  1. Add Channel Information:

    • Channel Name: Enter the name of the marketing channel (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Email Marketing).

    • Default URL: Enter the URL where the traffic will be directed (e.g., nike.com).

    • UTM Parameter: Add UTM parameters to track the specific traffic source (e.g., utm_source=google or utm_source=facebook).

    • The complete URL might look like: nike.com?channel=google or nike.com?channel=facebook.

  2. Click "Create": Once you've entered the necessary details for the channel, click Create to add it to your list of active marketing channels.

  3. Save Changes: Once you've configured your channels, click Save to store your settings.

Tracking Code Installation

In this step, you'll choose how to install the tracking code on your website.

  1. Select Platform:

    • Choose between Build by Yourself or Shopify, depending on your e-commerce setup.

    • If you're using Shopify, Affyi will automatically integrate the tracking code into your store.

  2. Save & Activate:

    • Once the tracking setup is complete, click Save to apply your settings.

    • A success message will confirm that the tracking setup is active.
