Group Commission Setting

Brands can automate the final commission by configuring various settings. With this feature, brands can implement specific rules such as:

The default commission rate is 4%.

Case 1:

  • The brand can use the Individual Commission Setting to automate the following scenarios:

    • If a referral sale was brought by partner group Test1, the commission rate for that sale will be $5 from 8/20/2024 to forever.

Brands can select multiple partner groups simultaneously to apply the same rule, or choose different partner groups for different rules. There is no limit on the number of rules that can be created.

Understanding the Group Commission Setting and Its Priority

The Group Commission Setting has higher priority than the Default Commission Rate and Tier Performance Bonus. However, it will be overridden by Sales Match Commission and Individual Commission Settings if those are applied.

Here’s how it works:

1. Group Commission Setting and Default Commission Rate

When you assign a commission rate to a group, that rate will override the Default Commission Rate for all partners in the group.

Example:

  • Default Commission Rate: 4%

  • Group Commission Rate: 10%

  • Outcome: All partners in the group will earn 10% commission on their sales, instead of the default 4%.

2. Interaction with Tier Performance Bonus

The Group Commission Setting also takes precedence over the Tier Performance Bonus. This means that even if a partner qualifies for a Tier Performance Bonus, the group rate will apply if it is higher.

Example:

  • Default Commission Rate: 4%

  • Tier Performance Bonus: Increases the rate to 6% for 30 days after reaching a sales target.

  • Group Commission Rate: 10%

  • Outcome: Partners in the group will receive the 10% group rate, as it overrides the 6% Tier Performance Bonus.

3. Interaction with Sales Match Commission Setting

The Sales Match Commission Setting has the highest priority. If a sale meets the criteria defined in a Sales Match rule, that rule will override the Group Commission Setting.

Example:

  • Group Commission Rate: 10%

  • Sales Match Rule: If a sale includes the coupon code "Welcome10," the commission rate is 15%.

  • Outcome: For any sale using the "Welcome10" coupon code, the partner will earn 15% commission, even if their group rate is 10%.

4. Interaction with Individual Commission Setting

The Individual Commission Setting is more specific and thus has higher priority than the Group Commission Setting. If a partner has an individual rate assigned, it will override the group rate.

Example:

  • Group Commission Rate: 10%

  • Individual Commission Rate for Partner A: 12%

  • Outcome: Partner A will earn 12% on their sales, regardless of the 10% group rate.
