Sales Match Commission Setting

Brands can automate the final commission by configuring various settings. With this feature, brands can implement specific rules such as:

Case 1:

  • The default commission rate is 4%.

  • The brand can use the Sales Match Commission Setting to automate the following scenarios:

    • If a referral sale uses the coupon code "Welcome10," the commission rate for that sale will be 10%.

  • If the item SKU "ABC123" is included in the referral sale, the commission rate for that sale will be 0%.

  • If the referral sale is from the United States and includes the item SKU "ABC123," the commission rate will be 0%.

These are just a few examples. There are numerous combinations available to meet the specific needs of each brand.

Understanding the Sales Match Commission Setting and Its Priority

The Sales Match Commission Setting takes precedence over all other commission settings, including the Default Commission Rate, Tier Performance Bonus, Group Commission Setting, and Individual Commission Setting.

Here’s how it works:

1. Sales Match Commission Setting and Default Commission Rate

When a sale meets the criteria defined in a Sales Match rule, the commission rate specified by that rule will override the Default Commission Rate.

Example:

  • Default Commission Rate: 4%

  • Sales Match Rule: If a sale includes the coupon code "Welcome10," the commission rate for that sale is 10%.

  • Outcome: Any sale using the "Welcome10" coupon code will earn the partner a 10% commission, overriding the default 4% rate.

2. Interaction with Tier Performance Bonus

The Sales Match Commission Setting also takes precedence over the Tier Performance Bonus. Even if a partner qualifies for a Tier Performance Bonus, the commission rate specified in the Sales Match rule will apply if the conditions are met.

Example:

  • Default Commission Rate: 4%

  • Tier Performance Bonus: Increases the rate to 6% for 30 days after reaching a sales target.

  • Sales Match Rule: If a sale includes the coupon code "Welcome10," the commission rate is 10%.

  • Outcome: For any sale using "Welcome10," the commission rate will be 10%, regardless of the Tier Performance Bonus.

3. Interaction with Group Commission Setting

If a partner is part of a group with a specific commission rate, the Sales Match Commission Setting will still take precedence. This ensures that the most relevant sales-specific rules are applied first.

Example:

  • Group Commission Rate: 10%

  • Sales Match Rule: If a sale includes the product SKU "ABC123," the commission rate is 15%.

  • Outcome: Any sale involving SKU "ABC123" will earn the partner a 15% commission, overriding the 10% group rate.

4. Interaction with Individual Commission Setting

The Sales Match Commission Setting has the highest priority, even over Individual Commission Settings. If a sale meets the conditions set in a Sales Match rule, that rule will determine the commission rate.

Example:

  • Individual Commission Rate for Partner A: 12%

  • Sales Match Rule: If a sale includes the coupon code "Welcome10," the commission rate is 15%.

  • Outcome: For any sale using "Welcome10," Partner A will earn a 15% commission, despite their individual rate being 12%.
